The Hansen family established the Hansen Honorarium to recognize outstanding teaching at Sky View and Mountain Crest High Schools. Each student is given the opportunity to nominate a teacher who had a positive influence in his life. Nominated teachers should know the subject area well, motivate students to be better persons, and genuinely care about students. Belva Hansen, former beloved Sky View Teacher, represents the family in selection of award recipient at each high school and personally presents the monetary award to each outstanding teacher.
